Bela "Bill" Goncy, 87, of Boston Heights, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003 at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital.
He was born Feb. 9, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio, was a World War II Army Air Force veteran, and was an active member of the Akron chapter of CBI (China, Burma, India) organization. He was a carpenter by trade and a member for over 50 years of Carpenters Union Local 212 in Cleveland and last worked for Pioneer Contracting Corp. of Bedford Heights, Ohio.
Preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor (nee Madaras) in 1973, he is survived by his daughter, Ilona S.; son, Bela Michael "Bill" Goncy; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann (nee Martin) Goncy all of Boston Heights; grandchildren, Michael, Julie, Jeffrey, and Laura Goncy.
Private interment at Fairview Cemetery in Boston Heights. Arrangements by Johnson-Romito, A Golden Rule Funeral Home, Hudson, Ohio.
