OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES AND ORDINANCE 15-2001 OF THE VILLAGE OF BOSTON HEIGHTS IN ORDER TO APPROPRIATELY ADJUST THE VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION FEES CHARGED. [Note: there are now new, mostly higher, fees for building permits, and also now a requirement for Village permits on construction and grading changes that may not have previously required a permit. [Note: Summit County MetroParks is providing some additional funds for this project, which apparently consists of attaching new tarps under the bridge to keep parts of it from falling on hikers and bikers.] |

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE
PLUMBING PROVISIONS RULE OF THE VILLAGE OF BOSTON HEIGHTS CERTIFICATION, AMENDED TO AUTHORIZE AND ALLOW THE SUMMIT COUNTY BUILDING DEPARTMENT TO PERFORM PLUMBING INSPECTIONS IN THE VILLAGE OF BOSTON HEIGHTS. [Note: Summit County Health Department used to handle all Village plumbing permits and inspections. These will now be handled by the Summit County Building Department. HOWEVER: Village officials stated that septic permits and inspections will still be handled by the S.C. Health Department.] |
[Note: The
Village Engineer noted that he had attended a meeting in Columbus
12-Oct seeking grant money, e.g. for water projects. He also stated
that Summit County would be providing funds for (part of?) the
cost of handicap-accessible restrooms for the Village Hall.
He also noted that the cleanup of the Krejci hazardous waste dump
site would soon be starting, and that there would be heavy large-truck
traffic on Village Roads. He and the Village Solicitor stated
that new overload bonding should be established by Council to
insure against costs of road damage by this traffic. For more

Councilor T.Slane stated that she had reviewed the previous month's
financial disbursements. Presumably they were all in order.
Councilor J.Hudson stated that the Road Committee had met and
received a report from (Road Supervisor) Jim Robinson on miscellaneous
maintenance projects undertaken in the past month. ]
