Jarod M. Dean


Officer Jarod M. Dean, age 24, of the Boston Heights Police Department was tragically taken in the line of duty January 19, 2009.

Loving son of Thomas and Marie (nee Florencki). Cherished brother of Officer John Dean of the Hudson Police Department (Kathryn), Carey Ceculski (Tom) and Dean Rivera (Amy). Dearest Uncle of Deville, Donovan, Thomas and Nathan. Beloved Grandson of Florence Dean and Stanley and Jennie Florencki (all deceased) and Bill Kaplar and Dorothy Borders. Nephew of Christine Sharp (Ron) and Great Nephew of Lou and Jan Churak.

Jarod was a dedicated police officer who touched the lives of many. Jarod served as an officer for two and one half years, most recently with Boston Heights for six months, and prior with the Windham police department. Jarod will be dearly missed by his family, friends and those he served.

Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Fortuna Funeral Home, 7076 Brecksville Rd, Independence (1/2 mile north of Pleasant Valley Rd.) MAP

Funeral Liturgy Saturday January 24, 2009, 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church 340 North Main Street, Hudson Ohio. MAP Interment Calvary Cemetery.
