To Members of Council and Residents of the Village of Boston Heights:

I am sorry that I cannot be at the Council meeting tonight as I will be attending my US. Navy Military Reunion in Biloxi, Mississippi. This letter is to inform the Council and residents of Boston Heights that the U. S. Army base that was proposed to be built on Olde Route 8 will not be built in Boston Heights.

Congressman LaTourette's office has indicated that the new site for the construction of the U.S. Army base will be at the intersection of Rt 82 and Chamberlain Road in Twinsburg.

As your Mayor, I am proud to have been a part of the fight that prevented the establishment of the Army base in a residential area. I would like to thank Congressman LaTourette for his valuable assistance in this matter. I would like to thank all of you who joined in the fight to keep the Army base from coming to our community.
